Calculate Ventilation Level

 

In the Cigarette Design section, ventilation level may be entered directly or calculated based on the ventilation materials by clicking on the Calculate % Tip Ventilation button. This transfers the user to the Calculate % Tip Ventilation/ Ventilation Materials window. (This window may also be reached directly from the Tools menu.

 

This window contains four fields:

 

·     Perforation method

 

·     Plugwrap porosity

 

·     Tipping paper permeability

 

·     % tip ventilation

 

The user must select the perforation method from the drop-down box, and then enter two of the three remaining numerical values. When the Calculate button is clicked, the final value is predicted.
